Display probrem(the board broke?)

Hello.

When turning ON the power, today, I faced a strange splash-screen.
It seems that it lacks the green color.

And X will not start.

What brand of LCD display are you using? We have seen some displays that have trouble picking up some of the colors after a period of time. The same board that looks bad on one display will look great on 10 other displays.

Gerald

Hi.

That display is SOTEC LB19JW.
I tried other display(EIZO FlexScan HD2452W), but I got same result.

Anyway, the bord was working with the same display till yesterday.
(I was playing OGLES)
I think that my board broke down by something.

If you say, "Unfortunately, it cannot be fixed", I will buy new one

thank you.

No, we can fix it. It requires replacing the TFP410. I would request an RMA and get it repaired. This happens sometrimes when you plug in the DVI cable before you power up the board. It causes the output level to drop over time by a few millivolts which makes it tough to pick up the levels on certain LCD panels.

Gerald

Oh, I see. I will check about RMA.

thank you, Gerald.

Gerald

What about the PLL lock error? Is it related to TFP410 as well?

I have a board giving the same error, I modify my kernel and comment out the PLL lock wait part then it works.

Thanks,

Caglar

What was described was just one color missing. If the symptoms are different, then it may be that issue. It is worth a try before sending the board back for repair.

Gerald

yes. I try it.

Thanks.
