I need papers about key issues in designing and deploying an embedded
devices. I know this list is not specifically made for this kind of
things, but I thought that people who choose to spend their quality
time using beagleboard, may be right people to ask.
I need papers who deals with product design from ground up, hardware
and software. If anyone knows any source, and/or specific paper that
could help.
O reilly publishes 2 books "Designing Embedded Hardware" and
"Programming Embedded Systems". They deal with a lot of things. It
could be a good starting point.
I don’t this such a subject can fit in a paper. It’s very broad. There are a number of good books on the subject. I could recommend you some that I have read.
Building Embedded Linux Systems,2nd Edition (O’Reilly) (quite good, covers the complete path but contains a lot of info you could find on the internet(it saves time though) and it is based mainly on resources gathered from the net. Not so many examples
Embedded Linux Primer: A Practical Real-World Approach(Prentice Hall): More examples than the former one.Similar Topics)
Embedded Systems Architecture: A Comprehensive Guide for Engineers and Programmers (Newnes): Introductory, Quite an overload of info on available technologies. Good as Design Reference.
In any case, product development is also a big topic that involves much more parameters (roadmaps, business analisis,NRE costs build of materials et all). I assume when you reach that level you won’t need to reside in such a group for info.
