eMMC drive disappears on BBAI-64

I am facing a strange problem,

When the system boots from the SD card with the image TDA4VM Debian 11.3 2022-06-14 10GB SD XFCE, I cannot see the eMMC.

The mmcblk1 is the SD card 32GB, not an eMMC.

Please note ‘/dev/mmcblk0boot0’: No such file

And of course, I can’t boot the system from eMMC when I remove the SD card (the BBAI-64 did not start, the Led kernel heartbeat not blinking, no logs serial port).

Now, I turn off power and boot from the SD card, and the system starts and boots OS normally.

The clear log from turn on power to login

Are there any suggestions? thank you

That’s disappointing… Something is fishy with your eMMC…

As long as it fails with the latest snapshot:

I’d just RMA it…

Regards,

I use the latest image you suggested above but the problem is not solved.

Here are the logs of the latest image:

Gave up waiting for root file system device. Common problems:
 - Boot args (cat /proc/cmdline)
   - Check rootdelay= (did the system wait long enough?)
 - Missing modules (cat /proc/modules; ls /dev)
ALERT! /dev/mmcblk1p2 does not exist. Dropping to a shell!

I’m so stuck I don’t know how to solve this problem.

I’d rma it… the onboard emmc is defective…

I think this is an important product quality issue, I just bought BBAI-64 a few days ago and it only damaged the eMMC component, everything else is normal, it very strange.

I don’t know if BB has a warranty policy, isn’t it?
