Enhance Your Beagley-AI Development Experience with Open-Source T3 Gemstone Images

Hello everyone,

We are thrilled to be part of the Beagley-AI community and to be working on exciting projects. Inspired by the innovative and collaborative spirit of this community, we wanted to share with you the open-source, community-supported projects we are developing at T3 Gemstone.

We understand how important a targeted and optimized operating system and development tools are on a powerful platform like Beagley-AI. In this regard, we would like to share information about the two projects we are working on:

  1. Debian-Based (Ubuntu, Pardus, etc.) Minimal, Kiosk, Desktop Image:

    • Minimal Image: Unlike standard Ubuntu distributions, this image contains only the packages required for the basic needs of the development board. Its streamlined structure, free of unnecessary packages, offers high performance, faster boot times, and enhanced security.

    • Kiosk Image: Unlike the standard minimal image, this image contains only the basic components required for kiosk mode applications, embedded systems, and devices that will perform specific tasks. With its structure stripped of unnecessary packages for your kiosk applications, it offers high performance and faster boot times.

    • Desktop Image: At the heart of this image lies the philosophy of “minimalism.” We have eliminated all components that do not serve the main goal of your project, such as unnecessary background services, office software, visual effects, and general-purpose applications. This allows Beagley-AI’s valuable processing power and memory to be used directly to run your AI model, process sensor data, or deliver your interface smoothly, rather than just keeping the operating system running.

    • Benefits of Beagley-AI:

The T3 Gemstone SDK enables us to produce Debian-based images with its very simple and straightforward structure. It includes tools and libraries that allow you to take full advantage of Beagley-AI’s hardware features. Our goal is to simplify and accelerate your development process.

The T3 Gemstone documentation is designed as a central resource to provide you with easy access to all the technical information, guides, and reference materials you need about our development boards, software ecosystem, and tools. Our goal is to minimize the challenges you face when bringing your ideas to life and to guide you through every stage of your project.

Open Source Projects and Community Support

All of our projects are completely open source. You can check out our other projects on Github and our documentation pages. We conduct our development processes transparently and place great importance on community contributions. You can be a part of this project by reporting bugs, contributing code, or improving the documentation. We believe that the best projects emerge from the collective wisdom and efforts of communities.

This really is fantastic. I do hope you can share a bit of credit and be careful to make it clear you are an open source software project as I don’t see your hardware design published anywhere. Really amazing work and I look forward to continued collaboration!
