Ethernet problem in Beagleboard-XM revC

Hi all,
          I am running 2.6.39-rc7 kernel on Beagleboard-XM rev A
board. Despite whatever configuration i give, the enthernet is not
working. I enabled inet,ip and in drivers->networkdevices-

smsc911x[5678] as suggestged in wiki. But i am unable to get the

ethernet .I am totally struck in it. Could you please help me guys?

Hello,

I am not sure with my knowledge - but isn't it that in all versions
after 2.6.32 there is a power switching problem of the ethernet port?
I therefore am still using 2.6.32 which is suffcient for my
application - unfortunately I cannot clearly say where it comes from,
a colleague brought it who is no longer available.

...check if the LEDs on the RJ45 turn on.
