Hi All,

from August I'm contacting "digikey" to get some info about the availability of the BeagleBoard in Italy
but till now, there isn't even an estimated date.

Any news here ?

How can I get one ?

Why don't you follow just

http://elinux.org/BeagleBoard#Availability

and select 'Italy' at DigiKey's international page?

Maybe they are out of stock, but you should be able to order from Italy and get the board as soon as they are available again.

Hi Dirk,

since I've directly contacted, more than once, the Italian digikey reseller
and they told me that the beagleBoard product was never in their stock
and that an availability date is not even present in their system:
do you still suggest that I fill the order form with my personal and credit card details ?

I'd like to know about some real life stories,
if any Italian are reading:
- how did you purchased your beagleBoard ?

Currently, there is no stock at DigiKey anywhere. D/K should be getting more boards in about 3 weeks.

and select 'Italy' at DigiKey's international page?

Yes, as I understand it, this is correct. Only DigiKey US is selling/shipping Beagles. This is why you should use the international page as recommended above. They will then send the board to you from US. You will get an invoice in EUR, and have to pay additional (italian) tax/VAT. See above link for similiar european contries.

Yes, as the DigiKey international order page is the only way to get the board in europe. But please note the mail from Gerald that they are out of stock at the moment.

As I understand it all people from europe used DigiKey's international page. Taking the examples described in above eLinux link, I don't think there is any difference between Italy and any other european country (except the local VAT/tax differences).

Thanks to all for supporting, if I knew that before I'd have ordered a board long time ago.
Now I'm not in a hurry but I'll let you know how it goes.

I'm Italian and I purchased my beagleboard from DigiKey's
international page. When I did the order they were out of
stock and I had to wait ~10 days.
I paid 136 Eur, or 139 I don't remember: you will have to
pay ~20 Eur to the courier guy for the custom fees.
