FPGA Guide Walkthrough + Verilog Basics on BeagleV-Fire

As a beginner, would you advise me to use a JTAG programmer then?

I am thinking you should use the Gateware already built into the BVF and start there.

That way you won’t need any dedicated programmer, as it it all built into Linux out-of-the-box.
If you look here, it should give you a good idea about to get started.

After that, if you’re feeling adventurous, you can proceed with the more advanced demos.

But as an intern, the company required me to use the Libero SoC software.

Ok then, we also have a demo for that, hehe.

Welcome to the real world.

Keep in mind nearly all decisions handed down from those in the c-suite are only made to better themselves. When you get older and have more experience you will see the extent of corporate corruption at its finest.

In the mean time, do as they say and smile.

That brings up another point, spend your money on dental work if you don’t have a bright smile. Constantly showing your teeth invokes a primordial instinct in humans regarding dominance. Those showing teeth all the time and know how to scheme and lie will go to the top quickly in a corporate environment.

My self, I am old school and firmly believe in hard work and honesty and had been successful for many years. Now days you will fail, so the choice is yours. In the mean time, just bite your tongue and do as they say, an internship is a very prized position and will reap rewards in later years.
