Friday and Servicing Interrupts via the R5FSS

Is it possible to service the interrupts of the R5FSS on the beagley-ai from userspace?

Seth

P.S. For the longest time, I thought I should learn about the PRUSS since it was so prevalent on the boards here. Now, with this beagley-ai, the PRUSS has been left out. For whatever reason, it is done and not used on this am67a processor and coprocessors. But! There are some other types…

  • R5F
  • DSP
  • Accelerators

The reason I am inquiring is this fact: MCU_R5FSS0 states that MCU is available thus not boot and/or wake up. Does this sound correct or is the R5FSS a boot/wake up SS for only those functions?

It just seems like every time I get ideas on this am67a from the Cortex-A53 to the subsystems (coprocessors), I am cycled back to not knowing if anything is available and/or if the subsystems are only for IPC from/to ARM but only for wake up and boot configurations.

For instance, the accelerators with the CODEC and Motion/Depth of Video seem nice but I personally do not want to use them. I think that is way more complicated than IPC and ARM to ARM and back.
