Thanks Amit. They are connected through a hub. I’ve been reading about the problem of the USB A mini plug and shorting OTG 4 and 5 and actually attempted that without success. I even powered the BB separately from the hub and still no go. I’m about to attempt using an Angstrom u-boot.bin as I’ve read in a 2009 post.
Merely copying an Android u-boot.bin wasn’t a successful tactic. Ended up with an orange screen so I’m back with my beautiful Android screen saying “No service” - I guess no network service.
Hi Mark,
I just went through this pain. What version are you using? Only this
one will work: TI-Android-GingerBread-2.3.4-DevKit-2.1. All the
others will have a red screen and will have no mouse or keyboard.
Also see this site for more info: http://e2e.ti.com/support/embedded/f/509/p/110013/479876.aspx#479876.
Thanks Geoff. I need to do a few more checks because I discovered to my surprise last evening that no data was passing through the hub, only power. I also picked up a mini-A adapter at a dollar store last night - which will be of no significance if the hub isn’t working. I’ve ordered one on-line and may pass by the store to pick it up today.
