I was trying to access gitlab site for beagleboard to do some work on my Beaglev-ahead
The site seems to be down
Is there an alternative place where I can get the latest scripts for the beaglev ahead?
It says HTTP 502: Waiting for GitLab to boot

Sounds like something that fits with yesterday’s maintenance.
The data-obsessed AI scraper-bots are everywhere, degrading human access to
sites all over the Internet, in their incessant demand for ever more detailed LLMs.
The good news is that more and more Repositories are transitioning to Github,
where they have sufficient staff to combat those frothing bot-hordes.
Same, damn, I have a report to submit on Monday. I hope they can fix it soon or I’m in trouble
I kinda want to try and sound sympathetic, but on the other side,
if I had a penny for every time I’ve heard something like that…
It’s fine, sympathy only work if that comes from people who can grant me extension, thanks for the effort. And there were many chances I could work on that before it went down. Or even just download the whole thing to local beforehand so I have a backup. So I guess the major fault is on me, and now I’m living with that
Which board are you working on? I do have some stuff I downloaded from there over time.
The one I am missing is the beaglev ahead stuff as I’ve been busy on other stuff.
I did have it at one time but must have deleted it when I flushed the ACTIA Corp stuff after I retired.
Well, the board I’m working on is the Beagle-V Fire, as I’m entry-level, I’m not quite sure about the difference, if there are any. I have the files I changed based on the offical gateware, but without the basics it surely doesn’t compile. It would be amazing if they have the same structure, then maybe I can get it working if I start to learn about how to construt the project into artifact. But that, is at least more hopeful than waiting.
I think the easiest viable way now maybe through gitHub repo? Then I fork your upload? Anyway, thank you.
You can check my gentoo wiki to see if the helps
I don’t know if you can access directly,
If not go to User:Minou - Gentoo wiki
and look for riscv
That is quite a lot of work, but I think that’s more about how to download OS onto board than the official gateware. Anyway, thank you for the effort
I borrowed the data from the gitlab site. I modified the config to add some module.
You don’t have to create gentoo if you just need to create the kernel and u-boot then you can use some of the information.
If all you need is the Gateware repository, @leoh has an up-to-date one here:
Many thanks
Anyway, it’s over now, maybe I survived
