GPIO access on C4

I followed the ubuntu installation guide on http://elinux.org/BeagleBoardUbuntu.
Ubuntu can boot up without any problem.

Then I tried to access the GPIO port by following the guide on
http://blog.makezine.com/archive/2009/02/blinking_leds_with_the_beagle_board.html.
That guide doesn't work. Other guides are similar by "export" a value
to a GPIO. All the guides are back in 2008.

There may be a problem with port multiplex for the new C4 board.
Anyone has tried access C4 board GPIO?

Thanks a lot.

There is no issue with the GPIO multiplexing on the Rev C4 board. It is exactly the same as every BeagleBoard ever produced. It has never changed.

Please feel free to read the System Reference Manual to fully understand the differences and changes made between the Rev C3 and Rev C4 revisions of the BeagleBoard.
