GSoC 2014 applicant : Beaglebone-Android

Hello,
I wish to participate in GSoC 2014 and am interested in joining the Beagleboard community. I have finished my Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and will be joining a Master’s program in CS in August. I have gone through this/previous year’s idea pages and am currently checking out some of the projects completed/underway.

I was particularly interested in the Android remote display project idea and would like to explore ideas that revolve around Beaglebone-Android system. Any guidance/discussion and pointers to how I can contribute to the community (irrespective of GSoC) along these lines will be highly appreciated.

I have good experience with C++, done some coding in python and am currently doing some Android programming (through some MOOCs). I also have prior experience in electronics and hardware. Given this background, I believe Beagleboard is an organization where i can fit in nicely.

Looking forward to engaging with the community.

Hello,

Beagleboard community.

Thanks for participating in the community, as a part of GSoC or otherwise.

I have finished my Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and will be

this/previous year's idea pages and am currently checking out some of the
projects completed/underway.

I was particularly interested in the Android remote display project idea
and would like to explore ideas that revolve around Beaglebone-Android
system. Any guidance/discussion and pointers to how I can contribute to the
community (irrespective of GSoC) along these lines will be highly
appreciated.

As I'm telling all students, hanging out on #beagle and #beagle-gsoc is a
great way to meet potential mentors, including the ones most interested in
the Android remote display implementation. Start working out details of
your proposal and come back with direct questions that will help your
proposal show your ability to execute a successful project that will be an
asset to the community. Good questions will create a good dialogue.
