GSOC 2017

Hello
I want to contribute to Open Source to BeagleBone in spirit of GSOC.I
am currently trying to set up NextCloud with Beaglebone as nobody has
tried making it compatible with BBB yet.Its functional on Raspberry Pi
as of now but I would like it to be functional on the BBB too.

I have also gone through the 522 projects mentioned on your site and
tried contacting in a few of them. Can you please tell me how to proceed
and any tasks that you expect out of me for me to be a part of the
community.

Running a compiler isn't much of a coding project.

What inspired you?

NextCloud is a forked version of Owncloud ,it’s a box shipped with Raspberry pi and a Harddisk .On setting it up we can basically set up our own cloud and work towards it.Along with that it has a lot other functionalities other than just a basic cloud such as online chats, video streaming ,secure video and audio calling. Its definitely more than setting up a compiler as I checked, though Nextcloud is fully and completely opensource ,noones’s made it portable with a BBB as of now .

So your going to convert:

http://linoxide.com/debian/install-nextcloud-10-nginx-debian-8/

to a script...

and call it your GSOC project..

no..

Regards,

Okay…yes seems like a very trivial thing.Okay I will look for one of the other projects being suggested
