Hello Everyone!
I am Robin Vishen from Nepal, currently a final year student of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Delhi Technological University (form. DCE).
I have contributed to Commander X16 prototype and UNICEF CubeSat projects. I started an autonomous vehicle team at my University in which we tried to use BeagleBoneBlue as our primary processing unit but were unsuccessful. I want to learn more about the use of BBB in the automation industry and am willing to contribute to Automation and Industrial I/O projects. I am more interested in “librobotcontrol support for BeagleBone AI and Robotics Cape”.
I would request to redirect me to the related communities. I’d be glad to share any more information about my past experiences and projects.
Best Regards,
Robin

I got about 1/3 of the way through updating things on this branch: https://github.com/jadonk/librobotcontrol/tree/bbai
Knowing if it is working or not is as simple as working through all of these examples: https://github.com/jadonk/librobotcontrol/tree/master/examples
If we don’t get good responses from James, we’ll just fork it and start maintaining it as a beagleboard project.
The same binaries should run with both AM3 and AM5. Some updates to the device trees for both based on https://elinux.org/Beagleboard:BeagleBone_cape_interface_spec may be necessary.
Please try to get a proposal up on elinux ASAP for feedback ahead of submission to the GSoC site.
