I’m writing today to ask for some additional feedback from the BeagleBoard.org community about the idea of developing drivers for Minix for i2c and some of the i2c devices on the BeagleBone Black for this year’s Google Summer of Code. I’m really enthusiastic about applying for this project. I’ve even made a little prototype driver for Minix which runs in the Linaro fork of QEMU (-M beaglexm) that can read from the i2c registers. I have verified that it works by reading the proper I2C_REV value. I’m excited about getting it going on the new BeagleBone Black (mine ships next week!).
I look forward to your comments.
