hang up in kernel - timer issue?

Hi,

I built the latest kernel from ‘git’ & found that it hangs in calibrate_delay() in init/calibrate.c ["… Calibrating delay loop"]. I fiddled a bit with timer options with no luck. Are there known setting changes from the default configuraiton that must be made?

Can you please state what version of board you are using and what
kernel you are on ?

The board version is Revision B … from the startup banner

“OMAP3530-GP Rev2, CPU2 OPP2 L3-165Mhz

The kernel is 2.6.30-rc3.
