Hello!
I’m new to BeagleBoard and I just bought the PocketBeagle 2. I want to connect the PB2 to the Internet so that I can access the Board remotely over ssh. This guide:
shows how to do it on the PocketBeagle by connecting Ethernet over an Adapter to the USB1 Pins of the PB1 and is supposed to work without having to configure the board. I checked the pins and they appear to be the same on the PB2 so I tried this method, but it didn’t work. Can someone tell me if I this method can work on the PB2? Maybe I need to configure the board or use a different adapter? Thanks!
I don’t mind soldering though. I already soldered the solution in the link in my first comment. It didn’t work, but if the setup is the same as with the PB1 then maybe I just need to use a different Ethernet to USB adapter. I’ll try that out next. Thanks for your reply!
@Kata
I actually did the USB to wifi that you referenced.
it worked with an older image
pocketbeagle2-debian-12.9-minimal-arm64-2025-01-30-8gb
however it does not see to work with a recent image
pocketbeagle2-debian-12.9-minimal-arm64-2025-03-05-8gb
wifi on this image works, just forgot how to set it up
as soon as i can free up some time, i’ll take another look at it
