I’ve been using a tuned Debian 7.8 image on my BeagleBone Black Industrial board just fine.
But I noticed that starting around the end of 2025, the BeagleBone Black upgraded and switched to Debian 12.
So my existing Debian 7.8 image won’t boot, and even if I force-flash it to the eMMC, it just freezes.
After looking into it a bit, it seems the bootloader side has changed somehow.
Does anyone know a way to get my existing Debian 7.8 tuned image working on the new BeagleBone Black via SD card boot?
Thank you for your response. I’ve tried various things like erasing the eMMC and changing the boot image, but it seems like it might be too old a version. When I checked with the U-Boot kernel, it said it booted normally, but the screen is frozen and SSH access is impossible… I’ll have to rebuild the environment from the latest image.
