I found a place called Elephant Robotics. Elephant Robotics myPalletizer 260 M5: The Most Compact 4-axis Robotic Arm (300g Payload – Elephant Robotics Americas Store is a quick plug…
I do not condone nor do I know of them outside of them making robots and arms.
So, I figured I would get a cheap-one, $299.00, and sling the beagleboard.org boards into them to have fun in the Sun.
Right now, with so many discarded projects that I will rehash and relive until death (or until completion with written docs on them), I am thinking yay or nay.
Yay: Fun in the Sun...
Nay: $299.00 that will make me go further into the debt alliance of America...
It is hard to tell what this little dude from Louisiana will do next. I know. I am him. Me, I am Seth.
Anyway, I think I stumbled upon them in the X or Facebook realm of reviewing oddity and finding the silver lining in it all. Robot stuff!
I just wish they would not add the electronics and open source the build. I mean, yes. I can do it all with the BeagleY-AI (I think) but ah. Okay, you talked me into it. I will do it and mark a write up.
From scratch with:
- BeagleY-AI
- Servo Controller of my choice
- I need to learn the I/O and mathematics of three to six degrees of freedom (books?)
- 3D Printer with the right filament…
Does Dupont still make 3D filament? I cannot get over their PA6 with Glass Fill. It needs annealing but still, unbreakable. It is A-W-E-S-O-M-E. That spells awesome.
