I need to install gedit, minicom and putty on my BBB, debian 11.7.

I was able to install them on Beagleplay.
But installation does not go through on BBB, debian 11.7.
Pl help me to move forward.

$apt-cache search putty

$apt-cache search minicom

$apt-cache search gedit

I did the below 4 commands, and then I did:
$sudo apt install gedit
at the end, I get:
E: Unable to locate package gedit

have you done apt update, apt upgrade??
are you running an image with GUI??

i’m running
Linux BeagleBone 5.10.168-ti-r79 #1bullseye
and
apt install gedit
wants to install 321 files
