A small IC on the bottom side of my beaglebone black is getting very hot, very soon after turning it on.
I am using it with a usb wifi adaptor but unplugging this does not seem to make it any better.
The chip is marked C416 and only measures a couple of millimetres across but is getting so hot that I can only keep my finger on it for a few seconds. Should I be worried and how could I deal with this?
There is no C416 on the board. The C indicates a capacitor. Can you send me a picture of it?
