Please ask your supervisor to give you another project
I think you should expect to do your own work, but there are several
imaginative people in the BeagleBoard community who might point you to
existing repositories of ideas for projects.
The IRC group (http://beagleboard.org/chat) has already brought up
several ideas, including using magnets to attach your BeagleBoard to
the refrigerator.
I'd further suggest reading about student projects that have been
suggested many times before and looking to extend ones that have
already been done. See http://beagleboard.org/gsoc and
http://beagleboard.org/challenge for some examples. Be sure to follow
the links to the sites with more details.
