Hi Diego,

did you get an asnwer/solution for your problem?
i am using bb B7 and like you, it seems that neither my keyboard noy
my mouse didn't work!
I also wasn't able to access the network (using belkin wifi dongle) as
it seems like the device is not functioning.
all of that were while using 2.6.29 following

I think he's still working on creating a new tar.gz file, as I haven't
received a direct email in a couple days.

Do you have a USB 2.0 hub between the beagle and your USB hardware?
Could you provide a Serial Dump via (including a the
u-boot version, as there is known bad combination...)

Hi Robert

good day I'm using BB C3 wmv video but does not work.
in my ubuntu I got the wifi to work but need to run the video as we do?

Hi Diego,

Good to hear about the wifi..

Some Options, for playing that vmw video with ubuntu..

Help the ubuntu developers get mplayer to build.

Build DSP modules and the optimized player from angstrom...

Hi Diego,

Its great to see that you got wi-fi working with BB. Even I am having
some problems with
wi-fi. Can you tell me how u got wi-fi working? Was is on ubunut or
angstrom. And what
were your uImage and u-boot versions.

Where can I find THE LATEST VERSION OF uImage the u-boot.bin BB FOR C3

Use Angstrom's Instructions:ångström

and ignore the "git checkout origin/stable/2009 -b stable/2009" to
stay on the master "dev" branch...

are there any current show-stoppers with the "dev" branch?

WFM... But it is called "dev" for a reason...

It's what i use to keep the Ubuntu/Debian guides (kernels and
specially uboot) up to date...

However, for stability I still recommend what's been tested and
written down on the elinux wikis..

Yes, i do have a usb hub. it looks like it doesn't recognize it,
though it is well detected with the angstrom.
i posted a serial output at

it looks like Neelima got similar results.

Please let me know if you need more information.

Hi Yos,

Thanks for the pastebin..

Looking at your log, I'd be very tempted to upgrade your version of
U-boot. (U-Boot 1.3.3 (Jul 10 2008 - 16:33:09))...

The kernel your running (2.6.29 series) is expecting the usb pins to
be setup in U-boot..

I've done more testing on r22, but r26 seems to be working well on
both rev b and c..

[ 20.514251] hub 1-0:1.0: USB hub found
[ 20.518188] hub 1-0:1.0: 3 ports detected

Although it did find the hub just fine...

Thank you Robert, indeed after upgrading the u-boot (U-Boot 2009.06-
rc2 (Jun 18 2009 - 12:55:37)) the usb hub functions well.
I can use both the keyboard and mouce, as well as wired ethernet
dongle and mass storage usb.

The main problem I face now is with wi-fi usb dongles with 2.6.29
although I am targeting the lxde package over ubuntu, I failed with
the angstrom also.

I will be glad if you have an idea how to solve it out.
