looks like you are missing the firmware file for zd1211/zd1211b. Make sure you have the requisite file in the appropriate folder.
yupe .. where to look for this files and if they are missing how to
get them.

Hi ... but i can see that the firmware zd1211 is available on BB. I
compared the files at /lib/firmware/zd1211 with the files located on
Ubuntu host PC(same location).They are same and wi-fi dongle works
with host PC.
So I am not sure what could be the problem with on BB side.

But, I guess the error -2 means the file is not found at the expected location.

Is anyone successful in using USB Wi-fi adapter from my essentials on
Angstrom.
I tried it and it complains about missing firmware. But I found that
required firmware
(i.e. ZD1211) is all there at /lib/firmware/zd1211 in Angstrom file
system. The same
adapter works with UBUNTU host PC, which all have same firmware files
at
/lib/firmware/zd1211.
