LCD DVI-HDCP, not working ?

Hello folks, its my birthday today and I thought its time I got a LCD
monitor for my board. Oh well. I have got a 22'' Viewsonic LCD monitor
with a DVI-HDCP port.

Connecting the board to the LCD via a HDMI to DVI cable, there is no
signal at the lcd. My board is fine, in fact I have used it with
couple of friends' LCDs.

Please explain what's the issue and how it can be resolved. Probably
try a different cable ? The LCD was a big investment for me, it would
be really helpful if someone could help me in this.

Thanks.

Can you pls specify Which OS you are using and the bootarg which you
used to boot The OS.Mostly its' resolution related issue.

Well, there is no HDCP support in Beagle. But, I doubt that is the issue. You need to check and make sure that the LCD can handle the 1024x768 resolution which is the native resolution on the Beagle when it ships. Some of these LCD panels are more like a TV and they are particular about the timings that they get. I would check the stated supported resolution sand frequencies and then search the discussion groups for setting the display. There have been several different discussions on this over the last several months.

You might also just send out the model number and ask anyone in the group if they are using that model and what settings they are using.

Oh, and Happy Birthday!

Gerald

I too Forget 'Wish You a Happy Birthday".I think this may be the first
Birthday celebration here in this mail list  .

Thank you Gerald & Siji Sunny for your replies. And the birthday
wishes.

Now. The boot arguments ! I remember modifying them to use the S-Video
out on my PAL TV. This is what I used: omapdss.def_disp=tv
omapfb.mode=tv:pal

I am hoping that's where I am wrong, right? I should delete these
arguments and use the other ones for using LCD (and the respective
resolution), right ?

I am really sorry if indeed this is the issue. I haven't been active
lately (instead, been building a core i7 rig...will use all that power
to compile & try other stuff for my board  ) and hence the query.

Please folks, tell me if that's the only issue. *fingers crossed*
