LVDS Bone

I want to drive an LCD (1024x768) from a Beaglebone A6a with am33x-v3.2. We have an LVDS interface adapter that we wired up to the same pins as the LCD 4 on the Bone. The hardware works (at least partially cos we got the penguin on the top left corner during a build error).

What do I have to do to get the Bone to output video using the set up we have? Can we fool the Bone into thinking it has a standard cape attached in order to test our prototype? If not, will programming the EEPROM with the mux info alone be enough to get video out or are some other mods to the kernel necessary?

James
