Mechanical drawings in PDF

Does anyone have the PDF version of the mechanical drawings of the rev C4 board? I don't have the necessary software (and don't want to install a new sw) to infer the mechanical dimensions of the board (as I read from the forums that this info is available in the CAD files (Gerber?). I have a few blank acrylic sheets around and can buy a few standoffs/spacers (don't know the diff between them though) to fix my BB. Or, would appreciate if someone can suggest me a place that sells such stuff (check this out for a fair idea of what Im looking at: http://www.waitingforfriday.com/images/c/c3/2_Panel_and_pcb.JPG ).

Regards,
SV.

There is no mecahnical PDF file available for this. You can read the CAD files by downloading the free viewer from Cadence. You can then read the CAD file and make measurements as well on the PCB dimensions an dcomponent placement. It does not cover however the height of the components. I have no file that covers that.

Hi Gerald,
I downloaded and installed Cadence but it wouldn’t open the .brd file (nor the gerber files). Can you point me to the exact software version that I need to view this?

Regards,
Sri.

I just tried it and it works fine. I am using the Rev 15.7 version of the viewer. It will NOT open the Gerber files.

Gerald

Oops. Assuming C4 would be using the latest version, I installed ver 16.2. :frowning:
Let me uninstall it and install 15.7 (and Im surprised they are not backward compatible).

Sri.

Sorry Gerald, I was trying to open the .brd file using “SIP and MCM free viewer” instead of the “Allegro Free Physical Viewer”, since the former was shown as ‘newly installed program’ in my Win 7 startup bar.
Sorry for the confusion.

Sri.
