I had to do a break from this one for a while, so I haven’t completed my setup. But in general, I have these 2 conclusions after I am back on track after some research:
- Device tree overlays are just not working. Maybe for some they are, but I was not able to make any use of them, its just too much hassle… Instead, I decided to patch the original device tree for BBB or BBG. If the HW is fixed and capes wont be changed around (my case), this should do. So I would make a recipe in which I would include the path file with the dts changes.
- I think I will ditch meta-ti and anything related and just stick to meta-yocto-bsp, at least for as long as I do not find out that I am missing something. And maybe even then its easier to just add here. It seems a lot better maintained and it allows me to boot normally…
