mini-DP to HDMI adapter failing to display onto external monitor for BB AI-64

Hello all,

I currently have this adapter after reading a forum post that recommended this “active” adapter.

However, the adapter has been, frustratingly, sometimes working and sometimes not. On boot, it has worked before and remained operational until I powered off the Beaglebone while on other boots, it has failed to work.

Has anyone had this issue before and know how to fix it? I’ve checked the HDMI cable and confirmed that it works to connect my laptop display to the external monitor. The external monitor works fine as well. I have provided the result of dmesg below as well.
