I would also be interested in learning more about this project /
proposal. My company runs CC430 (MSP430 + CC1101 radio) SoCs connected
to (right now) bones. Making this interface faster / better / more
seamless would be very useful.

MSP has I2C and/or UART so we can connect it with bone, but still it is discrete and can not be modified from bone, I think it is not interesting.
What about to enable change MSP executable program from beagle?

A full set of the Energia toolchain under OE would be nice, but I’m not sure it is a complete GSoC project. If you break it down does it look like a complete project? Is it clear what is required for something like that?
