I followed the instructions at http://elinux.org/BeagleBoardDebian and
managed to install Debian on my board. I stopped after "Development PC:
Setup U-boot for Normal Boot" and rebooted the board and voila.
However, I can't get a network connection to work. I have tried both
with the setup during the install and with a Dlink DU-E100 connected to
the OTG port.
Can someone explain how to do it or point to some HOWTO so I can get it
up and running.
The Linux version is: Linux beagle 2.6.29 #1 PREEMPT Wed Sep 9 11:46:21
CDT 2009 armv7l GNU/Linux
The board revision is C2
Another question: Is there someplace I can find ready made images for
SD-cards for the BeagleBoard? I'm using other ARM based boards with SD
cards and find it very convenient to save images with different
setups for later use.
And a third question: Maybe I should use something else than Debian? I
use Debian for most of my computers but am willing to use something
else for the BeagleBoard if it's more convenient. I don't need X but
plan to do some DSP work with the board in the future. Any suggestions?

Humm, i looked on Amazon, that looks like a fairly old part, what
chipset is in it?
lsusb on a x86 ubuntu/debian machine would help get the chipset...

I'm planning a Squeeze Demo Image like what i did for Ubuntu here...

Right now I'm working on helping to get Ubuntu Lucid (10.04) out the
door with a 2.6.33 based kernel for the beagle board. Once that's
done I'm planning to refocus and get Squeeze ready with the same and
more in sync with:

It's using the pegasus driver and yes, it's ancient. My first problem
is that it doesn't even show up in dmesg. The same with the mouse i
tested. Maybe it's something with hotplugging...
