Newbie question - USB not works as I want

Hello folks, I bought one BeagleBoard revC5.

I powered my BeagleBoard with the USB OTG port in my laptop. I also connected one HDMI (real HDMI no adapter to DVI) cable to screen and boots good and enters to Gnome, but, when I plugged keyboard or mouse (excluding) to USB port without USB hub, doesn’t works. I need 5V AC charger or maybe USB is bad?

Is your keyboard/mouse a USB 2.0 High Speed device (probably not...)
Use a usb2.0 hub, to allow your slow speed usb devices to talk to the
Beagle's High Speed EHCI port..

Is your keyboard/mouse a USB 2.0 High Speed device (probably not…)

Thanks Robert, I going to try with a hub, I bought the Digikey AC Charger =(
