No input via serial (bb -xm)

Just got a new xm, installed ubuntu on the sd and fired up via minicom
(w/ 5v powers supply). Everything works just fine except for the fact
that minicom wont accept input (blocking?)... My minicom settings are
as follows: 115200, 8N1, no flow control (hard or soft). any advice
would be appreciated.

I have this problem too. I'll post back if I find a solution for
minicom. In the meantime, you can use other programs such as "Serial
port terminal".

Found it! The trick was to disable hardware flow control. See
