Mainline is temporarily available at GitHub - torvalds/linux: Linux kernel source tree.

linux-omap is temporarily available at https://github.com/tmlind/linux.

I downloaded the linux-omap, but there is only a omap2plus_defconfig,
no omap3_beagle_defconfig.
Is it ok to use omap2plus_devconfig for the Beagleboard xM?

You would have gotten a faster response if you had started a new thread for this new question. Yes, omap2plus_defconfig is what you want for the BeagleBoard-xM.
