One board in pci-host mode, another in pci-endpoint mode

Hello all.

Is the following expected to work :

  • first x-15 is in pci-host (root complex) mode.

  • second x-15 is in pci-endpoint mode.

  • the two boards are easily connectable directly (via connecting the pinouts).

  • the second x-15 is seen appropriately in “lspci” output on the first x-15.

If the above is expected, I would order two x-15’s (plus the connector) right away.

(There are some TI, NXP boards available which allow the above setup, but unfortunately I cannot afford such expensive beasts).
