One LCD Monitor Can Have Multiple Computers Connected, Right?

I have a Dell 2407WFP-HC monitor here which allows for 5 different input sources. My laptop is connected to the VGA input. I can now connect the Beagleboard to the DVI input and the monitor will live, right? I just use the little button on the monitor to cycle to the display source. I assume a lot of you do exactly this so you don't have to waste space on two separate monitors?

That is what I do. Just make sure you plug the board in to the display BEFORE you apply power to the board.
