Options for PWM output?

Guys:

Quick question, has anyone tested PWM output through the expansion connector?
Under Linux, perhaps?

AFAICT after gathering all the bits-and-pieces of documentation together, it
looks like the McBSP3 pins are multiplexed with the GPT timer/counter, which has
a PWM output mode.
