partion a sd card

hi,
in partion a sd card ,after typing all commands ,when command press
giving "UNABLE TO WRITE /DEV/SDB1"

plz suggest any idea

Did you sudo or are you root prior to running fdisk?

Glen’s suggestion is the first place to look. Also, make sure you are using lower-case ("/dev/sdb1") instead of capital letters.
