PocketBeagle 2: cape header part number?

I’m working on a cape for the PB2, does anyone know the exact part number used for the cape headers? I’d like to choose a low-profile mating connector with through hole support like the beagle itself.

Thanks,

Ben

what do you mean with through hole support?
smd connectors that allow pins go through the pcb?
the headers themself are normal 2,54mm Spaced pins.

on the PB2 they use standard SMD-Headers.
i will try and check if i find the real partnumber..

it’s custom, @jkridner any luck getting another header manufacture to build the custom header?

Regards,

the custom part is that the connectors outer most pins are Through-hole and the rest is SMD?

that is really an interesting style i did not see till now..

but for the mating header this is all not relevant - as the spacing is just a default 100mil
or?
so you can use whatever 2x18 100mil pin-header you want…

Correct it was done to make the smt style header more durable..

i just

  • had a look in https://openbeagle.org/beagleboard/capes/-/tree/master/pocketbeagle/TechLab
  • downloaded and opend the KiCad project files:
    • then found the header and opened the properties:
      • Conn_02x18_Odd_Even
      • Generic connector, double row, 02x18, odd/even pin numbering scheme (row 1 odd numbers, row 2 even numbers), script generated (kicad-library-utils/schlib/autogen/connector/)
      • MANUFACTURER: Würth Elektronik
      • MPN: 61003621121

that results in WR-PHD Pin Header - Dual | Electromechanical Components | Würth Elektronik Product Catalog

Thank you @s-light and @RobertCNelson for the replies. I like the design of the header on the board with through-hole tabs for stability, but I should be able to use the part you linked from Wurth!
