Hi,
I would like to power the board with a 5V supply using an adapter (similar to a mobile charger). The battery is there to allow the beaglebone to shutdown correctly…shutdown procedure is initiated immediately after the power (+5VDC) fails.

Is it possible to charge +3.3V non-lithium based battery by connecting to the battery pin TP5 (+ve) and TP8 (-ve) ??
