Problem with installing OpenEmbedded?

I follow instruction in http://elinux.org/BeagleBoardAndOpenEmbeddedGit.
but there is a error.

my host Pc is ubuntu 8.04
and BB is mojo hasty-armv5el wind 2.6.28 version kernel.
How can I fix it?

Check you local.conf configuration file, probably this line.

BB_NUMBER_THREADS = "2"

Make sure you have quotes

Thanks ..

but I found other errors.
there are no files in /home/asdf/oe/openembedded/packages/zlib/zlib-
native*
I checked out from svn but zlib-native* files did not exist.
how can I solve this problem?

Thanks for your help.

I ran into similar problems (with checksums not matching), and discovered it was because I had a partial download of one of the packages that I had to remove. I think it was in oe/tmp/download. I looked for the failing package, removed the .tar.bz2 or .tar.gz file for it, and (usually) there was a .tar.gz.1 or .tar.bz2.1 file there that was the full package. I renamed it (to remove the trailing .1), and restarted bitbake, at which point it worked.

I’m not sure why the system doesn’t automatically remove the incomplete package source when it downloads a new copy, but I’m still new to bitbake.

Brett

but my /tmp/down load they is no .tar.gz.1 or .tar.bz2.1
file.
and I re downloading all file exist.

ERROR: Build of /home/asdf/oe/openembedded/packages/zlib/zlib-
native_1.2.3.bb do_fetch failed . => I didn't understand this error.

I have another question.
my beagleboard installed ubuntu. Is It passable using openembedded?
elinux.org has oponembedded tutorial only Angstom based.
thanks for your help....
