Query about hypothetical sale of packaged board in pre-assembled case

Sorry but I'm a little confused about the situation regarding
BeagleBoard resellers and retail availability. The main site lists 5
distributors (Digi-Key, Mouser, IDA Systems, SparkFun and Special
Computing):
<http://beagleboard.org/buy>

So is this German site also an authorised distributor, although
omitted from the above list?
<http://www.handheld-linux.com/wiki.php?page=Beagle%20Board>

Then there is obviously the EBVBeagle, which is an independent clone
(and presumably operating within its own parameters):
<http://www.ebv.com/ebvbeagle>

I've read the following threads...

...which are interesting but don't help much in clarifying my
understanding.

My query is this:

If a company were hypothetically wishing to sell a packaged board in
pre-assembled case, what constraints imposed by beagleboard.org would
there be on the operation of such company? (Assume the company to be
based within the EU.) What would be the process for such a company
applying to be an authorised distributor.

Additionally, is the beagleboard.org logo trademarked? If so, what
requirements would there be on its use within promotional material,
e.g. brochures, posters, websites?

This may not seem to be the most appropriate forum to ask the question
but as we're talking open source, I figured it'd be best asked out in
the open!

Finally, apologies if these queries are answered elsewhere.

TIA.

(Sorry about the broken links.)

No. They are buying from one of the authorized distributors and reselling them. We would entertain other distributors if the situation was right. We do not allow Beagle to be sold for use in end porducts. We are focused on getting as many board as possible into the cimmunity and not supporting companies making end products. If it is used in an end product, we will not warranty the board for such an effort.

The EBV is a private version of the board using the open source documentation that is provided to anyone to build the board. The HW is open source. We do not provide information on the open source with the Beagleboard logo on it. If you are a distributor, then we provide you with the logo information and allow you to use it.

If you want to offer the board in a pre-packaged case for the same purpose as the board was originally designed for, then you would be considered a value add reseller at that point. We would not like to see someone put it in a case and sell it as anything other than the BeagleBoard and as a development platform.

Thanks so much for the swift and comprehensive reply. It all makes a
lot more sense now.

For those who are interested:

I use one of these boards at work and the board behaves *exactly* the
same as the original board. It may have another boot-loader in the
flash, and the pcb has a different color, but that's it with differences.

It's a 100% clone. They are up-to-date with the latest revision. I can
recommend it.

And, it is manufactured on the exact same production line as the Beagle.
