Hi,
I’ve been looking around the X15, installed a rt-preempt kernel and I noticed the wl18xx package (I remembered that from the BBBW) is also on the X15 image.
Can this package do harm w.r.t. realtime performance? Or maybe I should ask: Can i increase realtime performance if this would be removed?
Regards,
Bas

pkg:[bb-wl18xx-firmware]:[1.20170612-0rcnee0~stretch+20170612]
That package includes the firmware for the TI Wl18xx family of sdio
based wifi adapters. As found on the BeagleBone Black Wireless, Green
Wireless and Blue..
For the x15, it doesn't do anything other then take up a few kb's of
space on the microSD...
It is also loaded at startup, but exit's pretty quickly on the x15
when it doesn't find the supported wifi module.

Thanks! I'll leave it alone then.
