I’m using the BB Ai-64 IoT. In idle mode, it draws 8W of power, the heat sink gets hot, and the processor cores show a temperature of around 50 degrees Celsius. I’d like to reduce the power consumption and the temperature. I haven’t been able to figure this out using the Debian Trixie operating system. Does anyone have any advice on how I can go about this?
I think that systemd has a way of putting the computer to sleep. That switches off most things that can be. You could also put the kernel in the state of saving power. I’ll hopefully get a change to look up the solution later - am having my own computer problems at the mo. Edit: you could try “systemctl suspend” and “systemctl hibernate”. Also “cpupower frequency-set -g powersave”.
