I was able to setup NFS through USB net on beagleboard. Recently I purchased beagleboard-xm. With this new beagleboard-xm i am not able to setup NFS through USB otg. Pls let me know if there is any way of setting up NFS with begaleboard-xm using USB net or else if there is any kernel which supports ethernet as the kernel which i got along with the board doesnt have the driver for ethenet.

The xm is a superset of the classic beagle so the same setup should work.

Hi Måns Rullgård,

I understand it is the superset of bealgeboard. But the problem is once i connect usb cable to micro-usb slot, kernel panics. I tried using modprobe g_ether. After using modprobe kernel doesnt panic but when i set the ipaddress for the board and host, the host is not able to detect the usb net. I think the usb net is not getting up even after configuring the ipadress and using the command to getting it up.

Hi Chirag,

Which kernel version are you using?

Also, do you see a green and a yellow light lit up on the board's
ethernet connector?

You could also try running "mii-tool eth0" on the host to see if the
ethernet link is ok.
