SD Card WiFI , mux.h

Does anybody have any experience with SD card WiFi modules interfaced to the Beagle?
I mean these Ambicom, SparkLan tiny modules…

By the way, mux.h seems to suggest to use the second MMC interface for this.

It is possible, but the second SDIO interface is 1.8V I/O only. Also, good luck getting the SDIO interrupt to work. If your WLAN module supports an out of band interrupt, you can hook it to a GPIO on the Beagleboard. It does work, it’s not easy…

Thanks,

so what is a ‘good’ WLAN module to start with? E.g. supports out of band interrupt…

Fabio

That is a difficult question. I haven’t used any of the WLAN modules you found. I know of some WLAN/BT chips that will work (BCM4325, BCM4329, used in many cell phones and the Android Linux driver is available.) Some companies do make modules with them, but I am not aware of any that are available from standard distribution channels.

OK, I’ll try BCM4325 and let you know…
To be honest I sincerely hope SDIO Interrupt works :))
