Hi I’m new to this forum and amongst some of my questions is how do I find the serial number of my BagleBone Black.

the system reference manual has that info, see section 6.4:
you can easily suck that info off the eeprom, with hexdump or hd:
$ hd /sys/devices/platform/ocp/44e0b000.i2c/i2c-0/0-0050/eeprom
