So the solder keeping the DB9 serial port firmly connected to my BeagleBoard-xM finally failed and now I have a conundrum:
- BeagleBoard-X15 seems to be a couple months out still
- BeagleBoard-xM is no longer available through the regular channels (though one place said a new shipment was arriving in April 2018)
- I’ve never done surface-mount soldering before
It looks like my best chance is to find one on ebay or something, but does anyone have other ideas? Perhaps the soldering isn’t too bad?
