Suggestion for FAN8200 replacement?

I want to control my Edge Robot Arm (http://www.thinkgeek.com/product/b696/) using my BeagleBone.

There is a control board available and the driver chip is a FAN8200. But it is an obsolete part that is difficult to obtain – especially in DIP packaging.

Any suggestions for a replacement?

Have you looked at the Pololu cards? They are more than just the chip, but

they are easy to mount on a board. They can be controlled by 3.3V systems

such as the Beagleboard.
