Board doesn’t boot using the new kernal
Please share your current serial boot log.
Regards,
Okay my bad.
It does boot but there is no video output. I am sorry.
Right now, video only works on the original SDK..
For pure video output, there are a few set of patches marked as RFC for mainline, in next few months we may have working video..
Regards,
Will wait for that patiently.
Thank you.
pwm and reset are queue’ed up for v6.18.x Making sure you're not a bot!
I also assume that usb support will arrive with video output patches as at least a usb keyboard does not work on the latest builds. Can confirm that it worked fine on the original 2023 build of ubuntu.
I would use that build but it is too outdated so I’ll just use ssh for the time being.
Also, the confusion of it not booting was caused due to the leds not blinking like they do in the original image. After checking serial I found out that yes it does boot.
Correct, USB needs development. I wouldn’t expect to see it till after display is enabled on mainline.
Question:
Fedora-V Force Images For RISC-V
How good are these?
Ah damn.
The board still needs a LOT of development. Well I did expect that anyways cause this is the case for most rv boards ig

Oh I see … Thanks a lot for the info!
I have a question … I have made a completely working arch linux image for the board.
Including wifi, video, audio, usb, etc. where or how shall I post it?
I can do it on github but I’d like to know about some sort of a format or a formal-ish way.
The image uses:
A modified bootfs with 5.10.133 kernel.
A modified rootfs based on the official Archriscv roofs.
U-boot from the latest xuantie-ubuntu build.
Most of the drivers were pulled from the original yocto build.
